The people who bought the place seem to be surviving, but we seldom see the
ladies (we used to call them the "luftwaffe", because they'd all swoop in
and take the place over), and it's sort of sad because they really were a
happy group of people who filled the place with laughter and smiles!

-> place in Lumberton but knew we would be getting bbq Saturday on this
-> trip so decided to go for SOTB.  It took a while to get the food out
-> because they've reduced help now that the place isn't going day to day.
-> We are remembering to ask for non smoking seating now; had a nice little
-> isolated spot there and at the Shoney's we hit up on the way back on
-> Sunday.

My advantage was that I was on no schedule so could afford to make those
little side trips. I will confess the smoke was really quite a distasteful
aspect, but I had to put up with it to get the good food.
