I think he was upset that she doesn't wear a bra (which is sometimes 
obvious - as in "Headlights ON") and gravity has started to have its 
way. And he was being his pedantic purist self. OTOH, her perkiness can 
be a bit over the top - like Rachel Ray with her perkiness and her "How 
hard is that?" 

Several years ago I wrote a cook/advice book for bachelors - the newly 
unwed or just pushed from the nest - on easy, impressive, tasty things 
to cook for one's self or to let a date know that the bachelor is not "a 
helpless male" in the kitchen. Tips on stuff that looks impressive and 
isn't all that hard to do, what canned soups make sauce bases for which 
dishes, useful gadgets and utensils to have around the kitchen.

Sort of a "Hints from Heloise" aimed at the testosterone side of the 
equation.

Never did manage to get it published and didn't want to vanity publish 
it (lack of $$$).

To my credit - I never, ever suggested using Uncle Ben's Perverted Rice 
or Minit Rice (which ain't).

Here is one of the recipes from that compilation ...

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: TUNA & RICE CASSEROLE
 Categories: Seafood, Rice, Cheese, Cheap
      Yield: 8 Servings
 
      4 c  Chicken broth
     12 oz Rice *
      2 cn (6.5 oz ea) grated (cheap)
           - tuna
   10.5 oz Can Cheddar Cheese soup
   10.5 oz Can Cream of Mushroom soup
     10 oz Pkg. frozen, chopped
           -broccoli (the cheap stuff)
      8 oz Mushrooms (canned or fresh)
      8 oz Shredded cheddar
      6 oz Slices yellow cheese
      1 ts Pepper (black, white or red
           -whatever is handy)
 
  Preparation:
  
  Cook rice * in chicken broth. You will have excess broth
  when rice is done. This is good. While rice is cooking do
  the Martin Yan slice 'n dice to the mushrooms. If you
  finish the mushrooms before the rice is done butter a
  largish round casserole and set it aside. Open your cans,
  boxes, etc.
  
  Stir other ingredients into cooked rice - except cheese. Do
  not drain tuna. Add the broth from mushrooms if using canned.
  Just before you pour the mixture into the casserole stir in
  the shredded cheddar. Smooth off the top with the back of
  your spoon and cover with slices of cheese until entire
  surface is covered.
  
  Slide into a pre-heated 350oF oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or
  until cheese on top is browned. Let cool for 15 minutes before
  serving. Leftovers keep well when covered. Reheats well.
  
  I "invented" this dish when I was living on the left coast on
  the "cheap". Originally it called for "bonito" instead of tuna.
  Never seen bonito on stupidmarkup shelves outside of Califunky,
  though. It looked like, cooked like, tasted like tuna at about
  half the price ....sigh. One of the things I like about this
  dish is that when cooled it "sets up" and makes it easy to
  carve out portions to nuke for lunch or snacks.

  * To cook rice from scratch - bring the liquid to a boil, add
  the rice. Return liquid to the rolling boil. Turn off burner 
  and put a tight fitting lid on the vessel. Let stand for 20
  minutes. Remove lid, fluff rice with a fork, serve.
