  The Trader Joe's in Columbia opened today.  It is in a new center with
  a lot of large box stores, just off MD rt 175, MD rt 108 and just east
  of US I95.   Other stores there include Costco, Office Depot, and
  Lowes.   We were going to Lowes and dropped into TJs just to see.

  IMO, it has gotten more mainstream than I recall from the first TJs
  you took us to in Boston.  That older one seemed to have a lot of
  interesting, odd, unusual items that caught our eye.   This newer one
  seems more like a clone of David's natural market, or Roots -- both of
  which are stores catering to people who want vegetarian and/or organic
  food.    This store is moderate size.   Gail says about the same size
  as the Annapolis store, but I recall the Annapolis store as being
  smaller.   I'd put it at 10 to 20,000 square feet (pure guess).

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Sausage & Pepper Calzones
 Categories: Low fat, Main dish
      Yield: 6 servings
 
      1 c  Basic chunky tomato sauce
      1    Recipe basic calzone dough
      1 lg Onion -- thinly sliced
      2    Green bell pepper -- seeded
           And sliced
      2    Cloves garlic -- finely
           Chopped
      2 tb Water
      4 oz Italian sausage (turkey) --
           Thinly sliced
    1/2 lb Mozzarella cheese, part skim
           Milk -- shredded
    1/2 lb Provolone cheese --
           Shredded
 
  Prepare basic chunky tomato sauce and basic calzone dough.  Lightly
  coat nonstick skillet with Pam.  Heat skillet over medium low heat.
  Add onion; saute 1 minutes.  Add peppers and garlic; saute 1 minute.
  Add water; simmer, stirring, for 2 minutes, or until liquid
  evaporates.  Remove vegetables with slotted spoon to bowl.  Wipe out
  skillet, and lightly coat again with Pam.  Heat over medium heat.
  Add sausages; cook for 5 minutes, or until browned on all sides.
  Stir in tomato sauce.  Add vegetables back to skillet.  Cover and
  cook 5 minutes, or until meat is cooked through. Set filling aside
  for 5 minutes.  Preheat oven to 400.  Shape dough into 12" long log
  on lightly floured board.  Divide dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll out
  each piece of dough into 8" circle.  Divide sausage and pepper
  filling evenly among rounds, spreading over lower half of each round
  to within 1 1/2" of edge.  Combine mozzarella and provolone cheeses
  in small bowl.  Sprinkle evenly over filling for each calzone,
  dividing equally. Fold dough over filling.  Fold edges up and over
  twice.   Press firmly to seal.  Crimp a decorative edge, if you like.
  Transfer calzones to baking sheet.  Prick top of each calzone several
  times with point of sharp knife. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until
  heated through and golden brown. Transfer to wire rack and let stand
  for 15 minutes before serving.  539 calories and 12 grams fat.
