Abso-freaking-lutey!!! I like several Korean dishes - but, if I am 
paying restaurant prices I want some poor sap in the back room to do the 
work. Bulgogi is a hassle, AFAICS.

We have a very popular steak house here called Alexanders. You grill 
your own steak ... if you screw up you can't send it back for a re-cook. 
FEH!!! And, they get premium prices for this.

I go, when I go out for steaks, to a place called Fritz's. 16 oz sirloin 
with the usual small lettuce salad and a potato serving is U$10.95. Same 
(or smaller) steak at Alexanders is U$14.95 - bare nekkid. No sides. And 
you got to carry it to your table. If you want a salad - you go harvest 
the salad bar. And you carry it to your table.

At Fritz's the wait staff take your order, bring your grub, bring your 
drinks, clear away when you are done. At Alexanders the wait staff is 
supposed to bring drinks around. They sometimes do that. At both places 
you are expected to tip the wait staff. I tip gladly at Fritz's. I 
seldom go to Alexanders - and leave only minimal tips (to show that I 
didn't forget - just didn't value the service very highly).

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Dabgvadz Noush - Fried Almonds
 Categories: Russian, Five, Ethnic, Nuts, Appetizers
      Yield: 1 Batch
 
      1 lb Almonds; shelled
           Olive oil; as needed
           Salt; as needed
 
  Place shelled almonds into boiling water for 90 secs.
  Remove & cool under running cold water. peel skins, drain, &
  pat dry.
  
  Cover bottom of pan or skillet with olive oil & heat over
  med-heat. Add almonds when oil is heated usually 2-3 mins.
  Saute while stirring all the while until both sides are
  golden brown. Drain in colander then sprinkle with salt.
  
  Serve alone as part of a selection of appetizers. Especially
  good with cheeses.
