I was on a short opera tour around then, but I kept asking in
the echo how to get there and didn't receive an answer. Little
did I know that people were answering but my sysop had misset
a switch and the replies were lost to cyberspace.

Oh, gosh, three digits. The weather was hellish, but the
picnic was great, and that was when I first met Carol in
person - something that was fun at the time but gave no
inkling of how momentous it would end up being in my life.
Afterward Burt invited Benita and me for some lovely Chilean
or Argentine wine. Speaking of which, I don't know what's
become of Benita, so don't ask: when United closed its
local offices she went who knows where.

And one in Seattle that had Kathryn Cone, Laird Kelly, Hap,
Iris, myself, and a couple others, as I recall. I thought
I'd gone 3 for 3, but obviously I didn't make it down under,
so that's just 3 for 4.

and Lyn Ortiz, and maybe a couple more.

Ah yes, this might have been the one where Glen's daughter
