--- Digression---

Flock attack!

Not to be unexpected at my place after all but had nothing ready!  They arrived
at 10am (several hours ago so recounting this episode).  Here they all were,
bored out of their skulls.  Its raining banshees.  I havent made a food trip
due to work.  So, what to do?

Easy.  First we took all 6 kids (one of them Charlotte who said Mom was home
som lets try our place, bless her lovely soul) and looked at what we had that
was useful.  Then, they ran back to their places to see what gaps we all had.

Bless those Moms who gave them back with 20$ bills and yen and a shopping list.
It was still raining banshees but they all had a backpack and umbrella.....

*sigh* Off we troop among the banshee wails, giggling I will admit excessively
enough to make a few smiles on everyone we passed.  A little walking forrest
of umbrellas, some shorter, some taller, some calling 'shoe alert' and
stopping to tie one up or ask a taller part of the forest to help...

Getting to the base we had to use the back gate (Tatagami) as the main gate is
being revamped so closed off.  A bright chirrup at the back of the forest told
me they had COUPONS!  McDonalds Coupons!.  (oh my).  1 hour later with each
child carefully watered, fed, carrying umbrellas and change (still each with
15$ or so for their mom's list but not to worry, they all pad it for such
things).  Off we wander.  Many shipmates seeing me with gaggle, waving, 2 join
in as headed same way.

Commisary.  Good thing they are well hearted!  I need 2 big roller carts and 3
carry type.  Need 5 separate checkouts <g>.  Josh and Alushi (Alishi is
phonetic) just smile and help me with the gaggle to get all the varuous listed
items (and nothing much else over 2$) in each basket.  Josh is very good with
kids on vegetables but Alushi has an elastic face like that wonderful comic
who can mimic whats 'fresh and tasty' and whats 'nasty' to a 6 year old to
perfection.

Oh my.  Out we come to banshee wails and it's just POURING hard.  Josh, bless
him forever, helps me secure 2 cabs at once who both know where we are going
and we split us all up (Charlotte just incase in the second one), and ride
back home.

Ah, was my turn!  Remember, they've been taking care of Don and Charlotte for 2
months and I not only apprciate that, I enjoyed our little foray.

The crockpot is now going and tomorrow when I am at work, the flock will come
check the makings and either decimate it, or forage elsewhere.  .sniff sniff.
I will come home to an empty crock I think... It scenting the home already
with a delicate curry coconut thick slurry of shrimp and chicken with
kangkoon..  The curry from Ruth, the spices mild but very definate.
