  They got tossed into my message base as well.  Neither of us were
  responsible for them being sent out into the world though.  I caught
  them by eye, and then confirmed them by looking at path lines.  The
  first BBS on the path line was not the same as the BBS on the origin
  line -- a dead give away for this sort of regurgitation.

  The 120 that got through to you and to me were messages that did not
  have a MSGID on them.  My uplink, and also the uplink once removed of
  the BBS that sent out the duplicate messages does do a type of
  duplicate checking based on MSGID.  He caught and killed 317 of them
  in the COOKING echo, according to a STATS echo message posted
  automatically by his system.



MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Light-Style Meatloaf
 Categories: Main dish, Loaf
      Yield: 6 servings
 
    1/2 c  Rolled oats
      3 tb Skim milk
     12 oz Ground turkey
     12 oz Lean ground beef
    1/2 c  Shredded carrot
    1/2 ts Dried thyme
    1/2 ts Dried marjoram
      1    Egg
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Freshly ground pepper

MMMMM---------------------------SAUCE--------------------------------
      1 tb Ketchup
      1 ts Worcestershire sauce
      1 tb Soy sauce
    1/4 ts Tabasco sauce
 
   Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine all the
  ingredients except the sauce ingredients. Spoon into a 9 x 5-inch
  loaf pan. Bake for 30 minutes.

   Meanwhile, combine the ketchup, Worcestshire, soy sauce and Tabasco.
  make 3 slits on top of the meatloaf. Brush with the sauce, making
  sure some sauce gets into the slits.

   Bake for another 30 minutes, or until the juices run clear. Pour off
  any fat that accumulates in the pan. Unmold onto a carving board and
  let sit for 5 minutes before slicing.
