Might be.  Hard to tell from here.  I am guessing beef went up stateside and
the translation rise here makes it 4$ a lb for the normal 90% lean ground.  I
dont buy that often enough anymore to really notice it.

Oh, I learned to cook whole ones but it costs a good bit as you need the oven
for 7 hours or more if you make them right (tender and whole).  Now that I
have a crockpot of the right size, I may experiment there.

Right now, the pork stock is done.  Came out a little thinner than I like at
first so added things to it (bit of this, bit of that) and now it's good
enough (better than anything you can get in a can).  Charlotte wants 'pork
stock udon with spinach' for dinner tonight. Teresa has it all frozen up in
little jars (8 oz or so each) for the next several weeks of her family's
needs.

Crockpot empty just now.  Humm (delighted grin).

Don hit up the commisary again.  *sigh*.  265$ later...  I cant figure it out
really.  I get as much food but spend normally less than 100$.  Then again,
he's the one who stocks up the TV dinners and things for when he's at work and
Charlotte has to feed herself while I'm at sea.  He's gotten lots of that sort
of meal item.

While Hawaii Ruth is clearing it all down, Don's stocking for our fall seatime
and though he's as good of a cook as i am, he isnt always here so has to have
stuff Charlotte can safely cook and eat when he's at work.  He starts at 2pm
and gets off at 8pm.

I have had that.  I'm not overtly fond of it but now that I am more used tot he
taste of vinigar, I might find it better.  My normal 'adobo' is made with no
vinigar at all.
