This looks like a pretty good peanut sauce...a bit more complex than most
but very interesting! And you KNOW how much Anne loves peanut sauce!
An old navy shipmate of mine, has a thai wife and they own (now several) 
thai places in the "greater Seattle area", including a concession at Safeco 
Field (as does Porters by the way). Anne and I went to the Japanese garden 
at theSeattle Arboretum, and afterwards down Madison to Madison Park area 
where the "original" place is. Since we are on the south beach diet we 
certainly didn't want a big dish with rice so we opted for chicken satay (they 
were out of pork) and splitting a bowl of Tom kah Gai.....the price for the 
satay was pretty high for four skewers ($7.95) but when we got them we 
were surprised at the size of them....one skewer would have made a normal 
appetizer! Each skewere had between 3-4 oz of breast meat on it! they were 
HUGE!! The peanut sauce was rather nondescript but adequate. The Tom Kah 
Gai was superb but it seemed a little sweeter than I am used to. Needless to 
say after the huge satays we (well Anne couldn't but I did) had difficulty in 
finishing the soup!
