Never used lastminute-auction. I just don't get all that "right now" 
about buying stuff. But, then, not being a woman I'm not automatically 
infected with the shopping gene.

Mostly it's sellers who do enough that PayPal collects a fee - which is 
higher for credit card processing and for bank transfers. I have seen 
people state that they do not accept credit cards via PayPal but do take 
bank transfers.

I most definitely don't do business with those who insist on Western 
Onion or similar service as the fee to the buyer is outrageous. And the 
whole thing is clunky.

I don't mind mailing a cheque and waiting for it to clear if the seller 
will accept such. 

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: No-Bake Fruitcake
 Categories: Holiday, Cakes, Desserts, Booze
      Yield: 12 servings
 
    1/2 c  Evaporated milk (not
           -sweetened condensed milk)
      3 tb Orange juice or orange
           -liqueur
     16    Marshmallows; chopped into
           -tiny pieces
  3 1/2 c  Graham-cracker crumbs
    1/4 ts Ground cinnamon
    1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
    1/8 ts Ground cloves
    1/4 c  Raisins
    3/4 c  Chopped, seeded dates
    3/4 c  Chopped pecans and/or
           -walnuts
    1/4 c  Candied pineapple
    1/3 c  Red and/or green candied
           -cherries
      2 tb Candied orange peel; opt
 
  In a small bowl, combine evaporated milk, orange juice
  and marshmallows. In a large mixing bowl, combine graham-
  cracker crumbs, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, raisins, dates,
  nuts, pineapple, cherries and orange peel. Add marshmallow
  mixture; mix well. Toss and knead with your hands to
  combine fully.
  
  Press firmly into a waxed-paper-lined 8-cup loaf pan.
  Cover top tightly with waxed paper and chill at least 2
  days before using. Keep in refrigerator.
