Well. One good thing about the more and more restrictive air
traffic rules is that pretty much any aircraft in the US or
Canada is accounted for all the time, except for the really
little personal ones. In the middle east, I would expect that
the Israeli intelligence would be monitoring aircraft movements
within a sizable margin of its airspace. So it still strikes
me that the most effective WWIII starter would be a large
aircraft packed with explosive or other harmful material that
masqueraded as a normal commercial flight. For small-scale
havoc, a bomb-filled Cessna or (more effectively) Gulfstream
detonating itself near a jumbo on approach over a big city
might cause quite a ruckus.

I've gotten to dislike and distrust the subways quite a lot.

Remember that approach involves unfull fuel tanks. And perhaps
we're lucky that no RPG so far has been lucky (I recall some
SAMs aimed at Israeli aircraft in Africa not long ago, and even
they were ineffective), but I still think that a SAM would
have a lower cost-malefit ratio than RPGs.

It certainly is part of what has become characterized as
"freedom of trade." I've always been against it, always will be.

Have you tried North Atlantic clams? I find them (in their way)
superior to Asian ones, although the Asians have more oomph
than the similar US Pacific ones.

Gorgonzola Sauce
cat: sauce
yield: 1 1/4 c 

4 oz Gorgonzola 
2 c mayonnaise 
1 Tb Dijon mustard 
1/4 ts salt 
1/4 ts freshly ground black pepper 

Put all the ingredients in a food processor and combine
until smooth. Serve in a side dish.

Spicy Salsa Verde
cat: sauce
yield: 1 1/2 c 

1 c chopped parsley leaves, about 1 bn
2 shallots, chopped 
2 Tb chopped capers 
2 cloves garlic, minced 
2 ts hot sauce, or 1/4 ts red pepper flakes 
1/4 ts salt 
1/4 ts freshly ground black pepper 
2 Tb sherry vinegar 
1 1/2 c extra-virgin olive oil 

In a bowl, stir all the ingredients together until
combined. Serve in a side dish.
