There would have been a few worried faces.  At least you weren't
unexpectedly forced to stay overnight in Chicago, as I had to do on my
way to Dave's picnic a few years ago.

Air Kiwi is not the world's most efficient airline, although the
catering is better than most.

So it is better to take your own, don it and sit on it during the
flight, removing the existing seat cushion. There were some planes
where this was done instead of using seat cushions - Hurricanes?

Even large aircraft are rather flimsy machines.  If you read the
warnings painted on the flap areas you will note that maintenance
persons are told not to walk on those parts, so I would expect an RPG
to make a significant mess.

It is usually cut-price charter or air freight DC-3s or similar which
fall onto the slums.  PAL planes have been blown up, but in the
turbulent South, not in Manila.  My house is in Las Pi¤as, well clear
of any flight path.

I have come across bottles on other occasions apparently intended for
USA or UK distribution.  I suppose it is not always possible to tell
years ahead of when the wine is bottled how many bottles will go where.

Frequently served on oiled, wilted banana leaves.  Absolutely yummy!
