It can be a bad time, but most people just stay up late, arriving at
Darwin airport at about 11 to 12 pm.  Those early morning flights go
off to Sydney, Brisbane, Bali, Malaysia and Singapore.

If I am staying at my daughter's place in Darwin and am awake I can
hear them leaving, but not loudly enough to disturb me if sleeping.
Military aircraft also use that airport, and some of those are noisy -
particularly some of the huge US Airforce transports - but the really
noisy fighters only seem to fly during the day.  As Concordes are no
longer flying, the only planes capable of making sonic booms are those
military fighters.

There has been talk of re-commissioning some Concords, to be flown by
Air France, so you may have the chance to hear them again.

      Title: Speedy Potato And Chorizo Tortilla
 Categories: One-pot
      Yield: 350 Cals,
 
      1 T  Olive oil
    820 g  New potatoes; drained and
           -quartered
    110 g  Chorizo sausages;sliced
      6 md Eggs; lightly beaten
 
  You can't get much easier than this. No one will ever know you've
  used a can of potatoes - just make sure you hide the evidence.
  
  Preheat the grill. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the
  potatoes until golden, Add the chorizo and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  
  Add the eggs, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper and
  cook for 5 minutes over a low heat until golden underneath.
  
  Put the pan under the grill for 1-2 minutes or until the eggs are
  just set.
  
  Serve immediately, cut into wedges,
