Well, no, I didn't miss it, but sort of assumed that if it were that bad, they
wouldn't have built there.  However, there are plenty of places here that were
flooded out early on after I moved to this city 30 years ago, that are now
being built on, once again, though they are still beside a creek that floods. I
also remember some houses along Quinobequin Road in Newton, Mass., which runs
beside the Charles River.  At the point I remember, the road is only slightly
higher than the river, but the houses on the other side were on lots which
angled downward away from the road, so their garages flooded when the river
did, necessitating pumping.  I would have put a drain in the base of the back
wall of the garage so the flood could drain right through. <g>

I have mainly bought "individual" bottles of water to replace those that broke,
lost their caps, or whatever; I refill those I use regularly with tap water.
