Probably quite the same...in the heat
of summer it's a lot more comfortable to
cook on the "summer" stove and during 
hunting season it served a dual purpose of 
warming us up while we were still mucky 
from the hunt and melting the wax.

My grandfather had huge fields of cotton...so most of the 
stuffings were cotton, I'm sure they sometimes used
down, but I don't remember it.
