Har har, freelance musician, coming up on the winter season,
babying oneself is out of the question.

Most of the people I know who have had back surgery have
not been pleased. It's a science in its infancy.

Well, I sure don't have MS. As far as I'm concerned, hotter the better.

Nope. Top of the thigh, with a new ache on the inside and bottom
of the knee area. But now I can bend my leg.

The good part of it is that (as last time) the doctor takes a look
and says to wear compression stockings and let it heal for 3 months.
No further medical intervention, which is just fine with me.

Aspirin and caffeine. Two Michael-killers. Last time I did caffeine
before a concert I got crabby and the tempi went all to hell, and
last time I took aspirin, well. Can you say river of red?

Bear in mind that katsu curry has little in common with a
real curry: it's a Japanese invention (hence the S&B curry
powder) that has taken root in places like Hawaii, where they
also like sweet, bean-ridden chili and hamburger and eggs over
rice.

HOT CRAB DIP
cat: airline, Hawaii
yield: 1 batch

8 oz cream cheese, softened
7 1/2 oz can crab meat
1 whole lemon, squeezed
2 Tb milk
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 stalks green onions, chopped
slivered almonds

Stir together cream cheese, crab, milk, Worcestershire,
and onions. Bake at 350F for 10 min. Garnish with almonds
and serve as dip for crackers or wafers.
