I knew you'd made it for someone's party; the "you" in this case sort of
refered to the host.

Then the only tasting you would get would be in the same line--as the
chef and not a guest.  I'm sure you enjoy the role you have more than
that of a professional chef.  And, from what I've seen at the picnics,
you like sous cheffing as well. (G)

Seems so. That and having a group that's pretty well kicked back to
begin with. There's nobody dictating that things have to be cooked "just
so" here so we're all free to agree or disagree on matters like beans in
chili or not.

So did curry powder improve the taste or not?  My dad isn't fond of eggs
so when my mom made curried eggs (they'd been married a very short
time), he let her know not to repeat the recipe.  I never saw curry
powder on her shelves so I guess she got rid of it fast.  She learned
early on that he likes bland and boring, meat & potatoes.
