Yecch. I did get the peach and citrus right, and the way too sweet
part. The banana part I don't recall, not going out of my way to
sample the stuff.

Your opinion is spot on, unless it's bad Bourbon to begin with.

I agree but would of course say "rare." When you say "lip on,"
I presume it's what we civilized people call "cap on"? In addition
to delmonicos grilled rare, a preference of mine is for a big roast
done at 500-600F until the outside is nice and brown. Then you're
supposed to turn off the oven and let the meat sit there, and when
the oven is cooled down, you have a perfect medium-rare roast. That
is not what I'm aiming for. I want to yank the beef right out of
there and carve it forthwith, so one gets a pot-roasty cap, with
that delicious osmazome flavor, and also this bright red bloody
interior. Best of both worlds.

Have to remember that one can always flirt, no matter
how decrepit one is. I found last year to my chagrin that
flirting doesn't necessarily mean interested, and interested
doesn't necessarily mean that interested.

Speaking of all of the above, I have a friend who's interested in
me, and the other day when I saw her I pulled out this envelope of
blue tabs, cackling evilly. These were actually blue melt-in-your-
mouth-not-in-your-hands candies that I had laboriously picked out
of a bowl of gorp at the US Airways Club.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Oregon Hazelnut Trail Mix
 Categories: Snacks, Fruits/nuts
      Yield: 1 Recipe

      6 c  Kix cereal
  1 1/2 c  Roasted Oregon hazelnuts
           --coarsely chopped or whole
      1 c  Golden raisins
      1 c  Banana chips
      1 pk Non-instant vanilla pudding
           --(small box)
    1/2 c  Honey
    1/2 c  Peanut butter

  Mix cereal, nuts, raisins and banana chips together. In saucepan,
  combine vanilla pudding and honey; bring to a boil and boil 30 seconds.
  Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter; mix well. Pour over cereal mix
  and mix until coated. Put on cookie sheet to cool.
