I used to have the odd morning like that pre-Roslind. It was better
than being hungover at 8 if you had to work.

The Canadian gov't also said "Sorry" and followed it up with lots of

I haven't had one of those for years. They have sort of fallen out
of fashion. It is too late for Christmas but I could still make one
some cold wintery day soon. I think I shall.

     Title: Peach Bread Pudding
Categories: Desserts
  Servings: 4

      3 c  Pan Tropical bread (made
           with lard)
      2 tb butter
      1 c  milk
      3    eggs
    1/3 c  sugar
     14 oz canned peaches and juice
      1 ts nutmeg

The peaches were a major relevation. It's good to have an emergency
dessert plan. You know, for the munchies. Or when guests come over.

2-3 cups of cubed bread (I used three of the pan tropical rolls,
which were croissant-sized, but you could use any sort of white
bread with some sugar in it. My intrepid friend Katie likes to use
leftover muffins or coffee cake in bread pudding, which is insanely
good.) Drizzle bread with 2-3 tbs of melted butter and toast in the
oven at 350 for 10 minutes

1 cup milk 3 eggs 1/3 cup sugar liquid from 14 oz can of peaches 1
tsp nutmeg: Beat these together until smooth and foamy put the bread
cubes and peaches into a buttered baking dish, pour milk-egg-sugar-
peach juice custard on top. Put in a 350 degree oven for about 45
minutes until the top has puffed up a bit and the whole thing is set
and not juicy.

Serve warm, but not piping hot, with Redi Whip or Hagan Daaz vanilla
ice cream.
