 HN> As you know, the Ram is Anne's most favorite waterfront

I always enjoy the choices you set out for us when we go
out restaurant hunting.

 -> plums, while Hap held out for plums and blackberries. We
 -> agreed on an artificial cherry finish (Hap said Luden's
 -> cough drops), which Anne likened to plastic - you can see
 -> this, as plastic solvent (and various kinds of glue) do
 -> remind one of artificial cherry. The finish was long and
 -> smooth, with just a bit of tannin surfacing now and then.
 HN> I had another glass of it last night, from the fridge so it was 
 HN> very chilled. Brought out the grapeiness and the plastic was 
 HN> more pronounced as well...but still a nice wine! 

It was a very complex wine. I wasn't completely bowled over
by it, as some of the tastes don't strike me as belonging in
wine, but I did enjoy it pretty well on the whole.

 HN> The snow held off, but the temps plummeted to the low 
 HN> 20's for the next few days and it made for dicey driving 
 HN> all week long! We enjoyed seeing your however briefly and

I take full advantage of the airline especially during
interesting weather conditions - usually I can get United
to make a mutually agreeable accommodation (it doesn't cost
them anything, as I'll go on any flight that is wide open in
first class). But next time, I'll give you more notice and
spend more time.

Not only was it a filet (not my favorite cut, under normal
circumstances), but it was a fork-tender one, so it wasn't
exactly a tough test on the teeth.

 HN> Again for me having canned tuna is a poor excuse for a
 HN> tuna..the only way I seem to like it is in tuna salad.

The main thing about canned tuna is that it's overcooked tuna.
But there are those of us who would claim that cooking it at
all would be overcooking it.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.02

      Title: Linguine Tuna Salad
 Categories: Salads, Fish, Kooknet, Cyberealm
      Yield: 6 servings

      7 oz Linguine, Broken In Half
    1/4 c  Vegetable Oil
      2 ts Sugar
      1 ts Seasoned Salt
     10 oz (1 Pk) Frozen Green Peas *
    1/4 c  Lemon Juice
    1/4 c  Chopped Green Onions
      1 ts Italian Seasoning
 12 1/2 oz (1 cn) Tuna, Drained
      2    Med. Firm Tomatoes, Chopped

  *    Thaw peas before using in this salad. Cook Linguine according to
  package directions, drain.  Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine lemon
  juice, oil, onions, sugar, Italian Seasoning, and salt, mix well. Add
  HOT linguine; toss.  Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover;
  chill to blend flavors.  Serve on lettuce leaves and garnish as
  desired. Refrigerate leftovers.
