Hi Ruth!

>> > I like the cheese a bit brown.

>> hehe.. I do some, but try not to let it happen <grin>

> If it happens, so much the better in my book. (G)

Aw, no, you have to have nice soft stretchy cheese haha

>> Sounds like it <grin> But I doubt pizza was a big thing then .. at
>> least as common as it now?

> No, my dad said that spaghetti was a "foreign" food to his parents.
> They were very much meat and potatoes eaters and he's the same way.

Ron's mom and dad were the same way. Meat and potatoes was about it for them
:) Ron's dad actually did most of the cooking, and he was pretty good at it
(smile). In my house though, the only time my Mom made potatoes was when Dad
was working at the hospital. When Dad was home, he wanted pasta and there was
no other way about it.. talk about hard-headed haha

>> > Steve's mom is Italian heritage so he grew up with a lot more home

>> Neat :) I knew there had to be some Italian blood over there
>> somewhere <vbg>

> Now you know. (G)

Ron's family is mostly Dutch, with some german, some irish and of course his
mom's english heritage.. oh and his dad has some Indians there too .. so he's a
definite mixed breed :)

>>> hehe.. I think I've had okra once, and didn't like it either <grin>

>> > Depends on how it's fixed makes a big difference in its likeability.

>> Oh no.. you mean it's like those brussel sprouts that Hap made me
>> try?? Lol

> Probably so. I made some brussels sprouts in a cheese sauce years ago

Ron loves that kind of stuff (grin). I'm willing to try anything once
generally (g)

>>> accounts! This one is funny.. my grandmother on my father's side was

> Very much so! The fact that they all grew to adulthood is amazing.

That is very true. I know my grandmother lost two children way back, but still
had 6 survive. Ron's dad came from a family of 4 sisters and 4 brothers..
that's a large family :)

>> That's really great :) It is really neat to hear about other people's
>> family trees! I met someone once whose godfather was Al Capone :) :)
>> I thought that was outrageous.. I mean, of course it had to happen,

> It's the 6 degrees of separation type thing.

Did you see the article in the news yesterday that some percentage of peole in
the UK think that Churchill was a "myth", and Sherlock Holmes was "real"? Now I
know it matters how they asked the question in their survey, but boy was that
shocking.

>> That's great! Bet it was greatly appreciated.

> Very much so, but then, too, any package was appreciated.

I'm sure it was.

>> > I was kidding with the postal

Understand.

Take care,
Janis
