->  hn> Nat Guard troops, and Ft Lewis troops.

-> in the line of national news.  BTW, whatever happened with Lt Erin
-> Watada (?) who refused to deploy several years ago?  His dad was/is a
-> big name in state government in HI so we heard a lot about it before we

They ended up dropping all charges against him
due to double jepardy. His career in the Army is
history so I imagine when he's due, he'll get out and 
go home.

-> ->  hn> got selected for Major, but is going to turn it down
-> ->  hn> and get out ( met a girl and is getting married) because
-> ->  hn> he is a chopper pilot (chinook) and would be facing another
-> ->  hn> immediate deployment.

-> -> It happens, especially with a smaller military than we had at one point.
-> -> There is talk of building it up again, tho not as large as it once was.

He's already got a job lined up with FEMA.
Better pay and he still gets good benefits.

Simply a matter of who's needed 
when and where. I know some who've 
not gone yet at all, and some who
seem to turn around as soon as they
get back stateside...some of em 
like it over there and volunteer
to do a quick turn around and re-
deploy.

Yes, but the Cadet Corp
is designed for career officers,
and most of em used to stay in 
for the full ride.
