Could be 100 years or more.  My mom's set belonged to her mom for who
knows how long.  It's the only one I remember in her kitchen and now my
mom has had it for 34 years.

Yes, we've done so as well.

Not worth the hassle for most of what we got.

Yes, we found out we were to return earlier than originally planned.  My
FIL picked it up in PA just before it was to get put on the container
ship.
