Hi Carol,

 > Yes, and that's why I do what I can. He's good for heavy lifting or

CS> Yeah, Don and I both have our 'tasks'. Like, I *hate* laundry so dont
CS> remember what color the washing machine and dryer are, nor the iron.
CS> Don *hates* clean bathrooms and probably hasnt had to scrub a toilet
 CS> in 15 years.

Since I'm at home, I do most of the house related stuff. Steve will
take the trash & recycle cans to the road but I've done it when he's
been TDY or otherwise. He does the yard work; decided that if we settle
out west we're going for xeroscaping so he can rake the rocks vs mowing
the grass.

 > CS> Cooking and cleaning up the dishes are the 2 we mostly share. Thats
 > CS> because we both like to cook and normally will clean up after
 > CS> ourselves.
 CS> >
 > It's nice to have help in the clean up department. I've already let

CS> Suggestion? Many of the movable units on wheels that you hook to the
CS> sink work really well. You can take it with you later. I'd prefer
CS> that here but our counter got edited before I really understood that.

Steve's folks had one of those before they went with a built in. If we
can't find a place with a built in, then it's a consideration. I'd
rather have a built in so I don't take up kitchen space "parking" the
thing. There'd be no room in this kitchen for one, for sure! (G)

 > CS> Don says they both have dials. He's laughing that i didnt know.
 CS> >
 > My dryer has a dial; we got it in 1992 when we came back from Germany.
 > The washer is all electronic touch pad as we got it in 2003 in HI.

CS> I gather one is white but not sure on the other one. Might be both
CS> white. Too cold to go out there and peek ;-)

Ours are both white. We had a copper dryer in TX when we were at Fort
Hood. We'd bought a washer but not a dryer, then got the dryer for $30.
from another preschool mom. I'd hung clothes outside for several months
before we got it; it went to Good Will or Salvation Army before we went
to Germany.

CS> He does my regular uniforms as they are easy to iron. The fancier
CS> ones that are hard to iron and get the right crease, get washed at
CS> home then ironed at the cleaners.

And only a few more months of that. Time to start sorting; Steve has
uniforms from when we were in AZ. (G)
