Thank goodness for sweat glands. But still, going out in

Ah, I sort of figured something like that.

A liter of wine is about 10 standard drinks, so he claims to
have had 40 standard drinks in a day? That beats me by about
a factor of two, and means that his average daily boozal intake
equals my record.

That's odd: maybe it's a brain illusion, or maybe somehow the flow
of molecules to the nasal passages is being interrupted. I think
I'm going to do an experiment: to wit, I'll fashion a palate shield
out of aluminum foil (alfoil to you) or somesuch and eat something
to see what happens.

Pambazo
cat: sandwiches, Mexican, Veracruz
Makes: 12 pambazos

12 bolillo buns
1 c mayonnaise
2 sliced red onions
5 sliced tomatoes
2 or 3 sliced avocados or guacamole
Black bean puree or hot refried beans
1 c queso blanco, queso fresco, or other substitute
h - Meat options
Carne Machaca - Slow cooked pulled beef
Fried chorizo sausage
Pulled pork
Shredded chicken
Grilled beef steak
h - Vegetarian options
Grilled mushrooms and onions

Cut bolillo in half and remove some of the bread from the inside
to make room for all the fillings. Toast bolillo halves in frying
pan on both sides.

Spread both sides with mayonnaise. Arrange meat and vegetables
on one half. Spread bean puree on the other half and sprinkle
with cheese. Return sandwich to frying pan and press down.

When warmed, cut in half and serve.
