I was reasonably pleased. Decent, though wet, pork, the bones
sawn through with a bandsaw in the way that supermarket butchers
do. The package had 2 rib chops and 2 loin chops.

1.99 is too much for pork butt. We can frequently get boneless
for 1.49.

Sara is one of my favorites, because she's cute as a button
and can cook (I've eaten food prepared with her own hands).
Nigella is OK except to look at, which she's more than OK.
Giada is better than OK.

I've never understood what is the big deal over fried pasta
with cheese in it.

That might have been the commercial origin, but I'm sure that
fry-kettle hobbyists must have come up with it long before.

Too much. The wine is at or beyond its peak and won't last
all that much longer. The '81 Lafite, Latour, and Margaux,
wines of similar quality, go for half that.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad
cat: strange, NCE, salad, dessert
yield: 1

3/4 c Margerine
3 Tb Brown Sugar
2 1/2 c crushed pretzels
- note - don't crush them too fine like I did the first time
- the crust was like cement!)
1 lg pk Strawberry Jello
3 c Chilled Strawberries
- (the frozen kind work well, just thaw them first!)
8 oz Cream Cheese
1 c Sugar
8 oz Cool Whip

Cream brown sugar & butter. Mix with pretzels and pat into lightly
buttered 9 x 13 pan (23 x 33 cm). Bake at 350f (177c) for 10 min.

Dissolve Jello in 2 cups of boiling water. Add strawberries, and cool
until mixture begins to set.

Cream together sugar and cream cheese, then add cool whip. Spread
cream cheese mixture over cooled pretzel crust. When Jello begins to
set, pour on top of cream cheese mixture.

Refigerate overnight.
