Reason I asked, there are some places, Wegmans for example, where the
baggers and "helping hands" staff refuse tips... they are paid, and
might actually lose their jobs if they accepted tips.  So, if the
military commissary policy isn't well known, one could be excused for
thinking it otherwise.  But, even where tips are called for, many people
haven't much of a clue as to what is reasonable, and usually end up
shorting the recipient...  Your practice is commendable.  :)

Hasn't worked on us yet... I've been working on figuring out ways of
fixing the ones that are already coming apart, though... not sure if
sewing or gluing is most appropriate in this case...  (G)  We have quite
a few canvas totes, but they tend to be in use carrying other stuff,
books mostly...  (G)  As a side note, Wegmans also sells canvas totes
for quite a bit more than the ones we've been using... haven't tried
them out yet...
