I have an assortment of red and plum-colored shirts
that has evolved owing to circumstances such as this.

Any number of things can cause me nosebleeds - allergies,
too dry, too moist, too hot, too cold, a spike in blood
pressure, what have you. Once they turned the A/C on the
plane while we were taxiing out, and I got a gusher,
whereupon one of the flight attendants ran up and asked
if we should abort the takeoff and send me back, but I
reflected on the thought of 200 people hating me forever,
so I said, just give me an ice pack and I'll be fine. At a
concert a couple months ago I was tuning up the orchestra
and someone sneaked up on stage behind me and gave me a big
old hug, and my nose started running like a blood faucet.
And yesterday in the shower I snuz from the floral scent
from either the shampoo or the soap, and it looked like the
scatter from a shotgun blast. Life is fun.

That's somewhat closer, but the other thing is that the clay pot
is somewhat porous, which alters the cooking characteristics a bit.
 
MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.02

      Title: Smooth Slim Rum Eggnog
 Categories: Christmas, Beverages
      Yield: 4 servings

      2 c  Nonfat milk
      1 tb Cornstarch
    1/4 ts Freshly grated nutmeg
      2    Lg egg whites
    1/4 c  Sugar
    1/4 c  Rum

  Smoothly blend milk with cornstarch and 1/8 tsp nutmeg in a 1 - 1 1/2
  qt pan, set aside. With a mixer, whip whites until foamy. Beating at
  high speed, gradually add sugar until whites hold short peaks. Stir
  milk mixture over high heat until just boiling. With mixer on medium
  speed. at once pour hot milk into whites, scraping down bowl sides.
  Let stand at least 4 minutes (boiling milk kills salmonella). add rum
  to eggnog, serve hot or cover and chill until cold, about 3 hours or
  up to 8. Pour mixture through a fine strainer in glasses. Dust with
  nutmeg.
