Except, perhaps, for the policeman who shot him.  S/he would very
likely need considerable counselling.  It can be very stressful for a
person to kill another human being, even if in the line of duty.

Here, I can use either card, no charge.  I sign for one and use my pin
number to make the other work.

I never use the money owing facility of credit cards, as that is too
dangerous.  I might inadvertently owe money beyond the allowable time
limit and have to pay the bank interest, which (in my mind) would put
me into the desperately poor, loan shark victim class.

I can see that happening here in the future.  I don't make bread, but
buy it already in a bag.  The local Viet Cong butcher sells pork bones,
cut to my wishes, for $1/kg, which I buy in 3kg lots, then re-pack in
the plastic bags and freeze for future consumption by the family hound.

Our duty paid on wine alcohol is less than that, but much higher on
spirits, which makes OP rum at the duty free store about half the
retail price.

No deliberate thickness; just ignorance, inadvertently displayed.

Increase in price for paper also?  Otherwise almost everyone will
choose paper over plastic.
