DSac> IKEA is well known for their well-designed, affordable home
DSac> furnishings (many of which need to be assembled by the consumer.)

Ah, we know it well. We've not bought any major items from there
for ourselves, but our son bought the cabinets to remodel their
townhouse here in Columbia. They moved to Germany mid-stream, and I
ended up assembling many of the cabinets myself. Then a handy man we
hired put them up on the wall. I could say that I am intimately
   familiar with their construction:-}}

We have bought a few small items from them. It is a neat store and
has a lot of interesting items, big and small.

DSac> But their stores also have small cafeteria-style restaurants
DSac> where you can take a break and buy some lunch or a snack
DSac> after winding through the cavernous showroom and marketplace.

The one we went to just off the Washington Beltway also had a smaller
snack bar. It sold hot dogs and some other things at a pretty decent
price. I think that a hot dog and a coffee or soda cost $1.50.
Their cinnamon buns were decent and inexpensive also. In that store,
the restaurant / cafeteria you describe was on the second floor. The
snack bar I'm talking about was after the checkout counters, near the
  exit.

There was also an area next to the snack bar where they sold various
Swedish food stuffs, possibly including some of the things like the
  drink you had.

      Title: Hot Potato Crackers
 Categories: Bakery, Crackers
      Yield: 65 crackers

  1 1/3 c All purpose flour
    2/3 c Potato flour
      2 tb Dried chives
    1/2 ts Salt
      2 ts Black pepper, ground
    1/2 c Shortening
    1/2 c Water
           Salt for the tops, optional
           Paprika for the top, option

  Preheat oven to 350F.

In a large bowl, combine the flours, chives, salt & pepper. Cut in
the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
Slowly blend in the water. Divide the dough into 2 equal balls. On
a floured surface, roll out into a thin rectangle 1/16" to 1/8"
thick. Sprinkle with salt & paprika & roll over with rolling pin.

Cut into 2" shapes with a sharp knife. Prick each cracker with a
fork. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Some crackers
will brown more quickly than others, so watch carefully for the last
5 minutes or so. Cool on a wire rack.

Use as an alternative snack to potato chips.
