I have that on my 2007 Saturn VUE.  It's really nice, although, at times, it
can be harder to turn than a hydraulic-assisted power steering system (i.e.
pulling a trailer), but at least there's no fluid to leak, no hoses to blow, no
pump to replace...I have a leak in the steering column knuckle on my '79 Ford
F-350 pickup, but according to the previous owners (my grandparents), that leak
has been there since day one.  I'll be getting that fixed soon enough.

Hopefully the Escape will give you no problems.  A friend has a Flex and he
really likes it.

On a side note, I heard that GM will be killing off the Saturn line
(supposedly) in 2012, so I'm going to be purchasing a set of factory service
manuals for the VUE so I can work on it after my "bumper-to-bumper" warranty I
purchased ends.

Soon I'll be needing to buy another car, but this time, a little econobox
(something in a five-speed, four-cylinder setup) to drive back and forth to
Kingsport, TN, which is about a 20-30 minute drive north of where I live.  I'll
be transferring to our company's "technology center" sometime after my training
is complete to work up there and quite frankly with the VUE's larger engine
(3.5L V6), I'd rather not suck up too much gas commuting.

The truck is completely out of the question as it gets about four to six miles
to the gallon in the city and eight miles to the gallon (optimally) on the
highway. <G>  Of course, when you have a 460 CID engine with a nice big
four-barrel performance-tuned Holley carb under the hood, you expect that...

As for food, well, we're starting to plan out our meals not only to budget the
tiny flow of money, but to help me eat better and balance out my diet.

      Title: Breakfast Bread Pudding with Sausage
 Categories: Meats, Cheese/eggs, Breads
      Yield: 8 Servings

           -Waldine Van Geffen VGHC42A
      3 c  French bread; cubed
    1/2 lb Bulk pork sausage; crumble
      1 c  Onions; chopped
      2 ts Fresh thymne; chopped or
    1/2 ts Dried
     10 oz Pk frozen chopped spinach;
           -thaw squeeze dry
  1 1/2 c  Swiss cheese; shred, divide
      9 lg Eggs
      3 c  Milk
      1 ts Dry mustard
      1 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Freshly ground pepper
      1    Plum tomato; diced

  Preheat oven to 325~. Arrange bread in 15-1/2x10-1/2" jely-rolly pan.
  Bake 20 minutes or until crisp. Cool. Meanwhile, brown sausage in
  large skillet over medium-high heat; drain on paper towels. Add
  onions and thyme to skillet; cook until onion is translucent, about 2
  minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in sausage and spinach to combine;
  cool completely. Arrange bread in shallow 3-quart baking dish.
  Sprinkle 1 cup cheese over top, then layer with sausage mixture and
  remaining cheese. Beat eggs, milk, mustard, in bowl until well
  blended. Carefully pour into prepared dish; sprinkle top with tomato.
  (Can be made ahead. Cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours.) Bake 1
  hour or until center is just set. Let stand 10 minutes before
  serving. (wrv) until center is just set.
