I gave my old NTSC (Never Twice Same Colour) set away via Freecycle. Freed up
more room to put books.

Even when I was following baseball I found it was better listened to on the
radio than watched on the glass teat. Even back when Dizzy Dean and Buddy
Blattner did the Falstaff Game of the Week.

Football (both American and Euro) works best on the tube.

And ice hockey is best experienced in person ... much like short track auto
racing.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Ambrosia Pie
 Categories: Pies, Fruits, Citrus, Pastry, Dairy
      Yield: 12 servings
 
  1 1/2 c  Sugar
    1/4 c  All-purpose flour
      1 ts Salt
     20 oz Can crushed pineapple;
           - undrained
 14 1/2 oz Can of pie cherries; NOT
           - cherry pie filling (look
           - for Pitted Red Tart Pie
           - Cherries in water)
      3 oz Package strawberry gelatin
      1 tb Dried orange zest
      4    Bananas
      2    Baked 9" pastry shells
      8 oz Carton whipped topping
      1 c  Flaked coconut
      1 c  Chopped pecans
 
  One Ambrosia Pie is not enough. This recipe makes two.
  
  Combine the sugar, flour, salt, pineapple and cherries in a
  large saucepan, and stir well. Cook over medium heat until
  thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat, and add gelatin and
  orange zest, stirring well. Allow mixture to cool.
  
  Thinly slice the bananas, and arrange an equal amount of
  slices in each pastry shell. Pour fruit mixture evenly into
  each pastry shell.
  
  Gently fold coconut into whipped topping, and spread topping
  over pies. Sprinkle pies with chopped pecans. Refrigerate at
  least three hours before serving.
  
  Makes two pies.
