My how time flies eh?  

Meantime you might be interested in how much sewing work goes for here.  3
lined jacket sleeves, one unlined, 4 pairs of pants hemmed and one zipper
replacement, 99$.  She presses everything afterwards so it's ready to wear
and one of the jackets she's taking to the dry cleaners (price included).

The local guys who sell meat 'door to door' here just came by.  Yippie! 
Before you scoff, they have the same as that expensive but quality angus beef
you buy via mail order but at reduced price.  for 229$ I got enough beef for
4-5 months and a month worth of decent seafood all vacumn sealed well for
another 200$.

Now my freezer is packed!

I've gotten their stuff before and been delighted with the quality.  Sure, I
can beat the price at the commisary, but not by that much.  This is all well
sealed and will freeze well with *no* problems up to a year.  (tested last
batch up to 6 months and it was just perfect still at that age).

I like the fact that I just helped a local business guy out too.  He's got a
store of sorts but it's not well located.  I mentioned him before when he was
trying to front up a business and now he has one but the word on how to find
him isnt well out, so he does a door to door thing on weekends while his wife
tends the store.  I reminded him to be sure to come back on a Saturday about
5 months from now when we'll be looking for more beef.
