Actually that works fine if you make rice only once a week or less.  Folks
who make rice almost every day, use rice makers and the main point is the
'keep warm' setting.  A rice maker wont work for your italian rice but I'd
love to try that.  Oddly you've just hit the one time I might like wine in
cooking.  It sounds interesting!

Depends on how often you make rice, and what type you like best.  Rice makers
arent noted for separtist rice <g>.  In fact, basmati is the only type that
will turn that way a bit and not as much as in the stove top method.

There it is.  Kitchenaide mixer with dough hook.  (No need to bring my bread
machine I see!).  I'd like to try the dough hook or just watch as another
does it.

I am sure some of the others know what to do with them and will use'em.  I'm
not the wok type myself.

Humm, what other toys do I have?  I probably should bring momma and baby
crock just so folks can see'em but we wont really have time for any crockpot
recipes unless I just make you up a big batch of stock.  If you want one from
all them organic meats and can save the bones, just eat up the meats then
freeze the carcass bones til we get there. I believe 3 of us at least make
our own stock as a common thing.  Perhaps Mloo could bring some annato seeds
and show us how to use them?

Commonly from what I've seen posted, we end up with more stuff to try than we
get around to, but thats ok!

Remind me when the time comes to pack a box of simple plates and stuff. 
While you may want to go paper just to keep the cleanup down (we tend to
clean after ourselves but still..) it's nice to have the option if you don't
have that many.

Oh another toy you can make a wish list of, is any wierd spice you havent
tried and want to see/sniff/ perhaps use.  I have a pretty extensive
collection of the less common ones.
