I also have several white tux shirts so that when one is
soaking to get the blood out and one or two more are in
the laundry bag, there will be another ready in rotation.

I was flying once from Tokyo to Singapore and had a huge
sudden nosebleed, so I rang the call button, and within
5 seconds a Japanese flight attendant was there to ask
what I needed, and - this is the interesting part - within
5 more seconds another Japanese flight attendant came by
with a bag of ice, just as I was asking the first flight
attendant for one.

That was a great concert. In addition, the soprano soloist,
a lithe young sex kitten, sat in my lap (I forget what the
provocation was) during the rehearsal. Interestingly, my
nose didn't bleed from that.

I tolerate citrus and other food-related scents (vanilla,
chocolate, mango, that kind of thing) in soaps and candles,
but anything else is just sheer horrendous torture.

I've never had much truck for food cops but have been known
to use correct recipes once in a while (I atone for it whenever
I can by having sausages or bacon the next day).

Sesame shrimp lettuce wraps
cat: starter, lunch main
servings: 4

2 Tb honey
1 Tb low-sodium soy sauce
1 lemon, juice of
1 Tb neutral oil
1 Tb toasted sesame oil
2 Tb chopped cilantro
cayenne and salt to taste
1/2 c snow peas, sliced thin lengthwise
1/2 c red bell pepper, sliced thin
1 lb cooked medium shrimp
1 Tb toasted sesame seeds
1 Boston or Bibb lettuce, broken into leaves

Combine first 7 ingredients. Toss vegetables and
shrimp with dressing. Correct seasoning and
garnish with sesame seeds. Serve in lettuce cups.
