==========================
Hi Glen!

>> The dry dust where my lawns used to be has now developed a green tinge
>> as all the grass seeds are bursting into life. I have hopes that the

>> Yes, likewise, our dead trees have finally sprung to life after our
>> winter <g>

> Having been in NYS in Spring, I know how uplifting that is.

You're not kidding.. I keep a lot of plants in the house just for that reason,
and always have (g)... especially avocado plants.. there is something about
growing those plants from the seeds (knowing you'll likely never see an
avocado) that makes you feel like you are somehow 'beating' winter (g).

>> trees survive on water drained out of the washing machine.

>> That is really neat.. we reclaim some of the water from the
>> dehumidfier in the basement but used it more when the washer/dryer were
>> down there. Now I have a newer one upstairs that uses a lot less water
>> and washes/dries in one machine - it's kind of outrageous (g) and

>> load of clothes in and forget it.. I guess it's not really so long. 3
>> hours for a load of jeans (I mean like 6 pairs of our jeans) (g).. so
>> that's not so bad :)

> That should be OK if you can stay ahead of the demand. I have a 40

Yes, this washer/dryer combo is not one made for a household with great demand
for clothes at 'rapid turnover rate' (g).. say a house with small children. One
would go crazy waiting for the cycles to end :) But for the two of us, it's
just fine.. and we hate washing clothes anyhow Lol

> year old drier, but I rarely use it, as it takes a lot of power and

This one is quite effecient.. Doesn't seem to steam up anything that I've
noticed, or really even heat up the room it's in. The company who makes it is
LG. I do very much remember the days of hanging the laundry out on the line -
even in the freezing cold :) Amazing to see clothes dry that way (g).

>> but that's ok.. Mom can stay here as long as she likes, and as long as
>> she can take the weather here (grin). Hopefully we'll have a mild
>> winter :)
>> I am
>> sure your mother will be very happy staying with you, doing some of

>> I think she would have a while ago, it's true - at this point she's
>> probably a happy to just relax and enjoy letting me take care of it,
>> and I don't mind at all (grin).. if she's up to it, that will be fine
>> as well :)

> That is what they tell me, also, but then I get asked to advise on a
> recipe, assist in preparation, and then show how something is done. I
> don't mind, as I like to keep active.

Certainly :) She enjoys that as well and we've always enjoyed cooking together
moreso than probably any of my other sisters (grin).

>>> True.. but if all of those nature shows I've seen on TV are to be
>>> believed, if I were to come to Australia, I will be immediately bitten
>>> and killed dead by any one of several monsterous spiders or critters :)

>> Admittedly we do have the world's greatest collection of poisonous
>> snakes, and the world's most deadly animal in the box jellyfish, which
>> can kill in seconds, and an increasing number of people being eaten by
>> crocodiles, but it is possible to avoid these dangers most of the
>> time. :) I am living proof of that! Even the families of red-backed
>> spiders in the garage don't worry me too much. OTOH, if TV is to be
>> believed, every time I visited USA I would be mugged, shot, blown up,
>> poisoned, robbed, or infected with all sorts of horrible diseases.

>> hahahahahhahahahahaha :) So true :)

>> So far I have been to USA 3 or 4 times, without once having any of
>> those things happen to me.

>> I guess I would be safe then afterall, wouldn't I :) :)

> I will make sure the crocodiles are well fed before you arrive. :)

Good thing too :) Though I am SURE I would not be planning on wrestling any of
them hahaha :)

> The greatest danger is that you might like it here and want to keep
> coming back.

I'm sure I would :)
