I hear about Long John Silver's and Captain D's
but we don't have them here on the wet coast, so 
I've not had any opportunities to sample them. I'm with 
you on huspuppies, gotta have nice bits of onion in 
there. We usually made em with two spoons;
get a good spoonfull of batter and scrape it off
with the other spoon. When I am on a road trip, I
usually pack a cooler full of good snacks and nibble
at it during the day. Only meal of the day is either
a good breakfast, or a lite dinner, usually a salad.
