-=> Quoting Dave Drum to Dale Shipp <=-

DS> Speaking of motorcycles -- on our trip we observed a lot of bikes
DS> touring around, and almost everyone was a Harley.

DD> Errrrmmmmm ... not to quibble or anything but there are a LOT of
DD> V-twins rolling around these days - and while a lot of them are
 DD> Harley-Davidsons a very
DD> large number of them are what the Harley chauvinists call Harley Bees
 DD> or Rice Rockets.

DS> Harleys -- logo and all. Hardly a rice burner in the lot until we were
DS> in an urban area such as Phoenix. My son (who has a pair of BMWs) gave
DS> a good explanation. No one rides very far on a rice burner -- they are
DS> not that comfortable. His BMW and the Harleys are decent touring
 DS> bikes.
 DD>
DD> I submit that on this your son is full of prunes. MANY people use a
 DD> rice-burner
DD> as their primary tourer. Especially the Honda Goldwing. My chilli
DD> cooking buddy, Les recently completed a 1500 mile tour down into the
DD> Rio Grande valley of Baja Oklahoma ... on his Honda Shadow VTX 1300.

I have noticed around these parts that the incidence of accidents to
Harleys is quite high as compared to other makes. This could be
because of the 1920's riding position resulting in less
controllability, or perhaps the macho attitude of those riders, or even
the "substances" that the Harley-riding bikey gangs make and imbibe.

DD> I have been riding motorcycles since I was 14 years old. I even came
DD> close to buying a new Harley once. But, mostly I have owned Indians,
DD> British vertical twins (cylinders side-by-side in an upright
DD> configuration) and laterly an assortment of Honda and/or Kawasaki
 DD> street beaters.

I once owned a 1923 Harley engine, which I put in the back of my first
car, driving through an Indian gearbox. It wasn't all that different
from the modern engines, and made the same sort of flat, farty exhaust
noise. Earlier, when I was only 19, I rode from Alice Springs to
Darwin and back - 2000 miles round trip - on a 125 cc 2-stroke, but I
was younger and even sillier then.

 Categories: Aussie, Fish, Restaurant
      Yield: 1 Servings

      1 Lemongrass, bunch of...
     10 g Paperbark
    300 g Barramundi fillet
     60 g Pesto, basil
      1 pn Lemon myrtle,
           -ground.
      1 pn Native mint,

           -crushed.
      2 Lemon, wedges.
      1 Banana leaf, piece of...

Place the lemon grass sticks, approximatelt 12 to 15 pieces, on to
damp paperbark. Place the barramundi fillet on the lemon grass and
spread the pesto on the fish. Sprinkle lemon myrtle and native mint
on the pesto. Season with sea salt and ground pepperleaf. Shape the
crushed or roughly chopped macadamia nuts over the fish.

Cook in a hot oven of approximately 180-190^C for about 12 minutes.
When cooked place the whole piece on the serving plate with lemon
  wedges and appropriate garnishes.

The paperbark will not burn in the oven as it has natural non-burning
agents. from the menu of SAN SOLERO BAY,
