There's lots more ground to be covered between population areas out
there. Even 75 seems slow on that stretch after crossing Hoover Dam
before you get to Kingman & between Kingman & Wickenburg for example.
But it is pretty scenery.

I never really got into green chili while I lived out there.  Now I'd
probably see if I could get it at some of the places we've frequented.
We bought some boneless rib eye (oranic grass fed?) rib eye steaks at
Whole Foods Market on Saturday; Steve grilled them today. They were
exceptionallly good! I got another bottom round roast & he got a small
London Broil to make into jerkey.  I suspect he wouldn't object too
strongly to my getting some pork there (in addition to the bacon I did
get) to try a chili verde.


 DS> places it was standard Tex-Mex fare, i.e. burritos, tacos, etc.  One

Sigh!  We used the last of the "pulled" beef in super burritos today,
They had the beef, some Lundberg rice blend, extra sharp cheddar,
Romaine lettuce, tomato and home made salsa on whole wheat tortillas.  A
bit sloppy but good eating.

Interesting; they're not boiled in a baking soda water solution.  That's
the norm for bagels.
