That may help but won't entirely eliminate the chances of getting it.
Which reminds me, I think I'm due for one this year. I need it every 5

I know the feeling; I've had them from broncitis several times.  I only
knew of the one that caused a partial lung collapse but a primary care
doctor let slip a few years ago that it had happened more than once.
About the only thing that can be done for that is rest and something to
relieve the pain & make breathing easier. (IWO, chicken soup [G]).

OOPS! I don't think my PCM meant to let it slip either but it did.
Helped explain some of the pain I had during some of those episodes of
bronchitis.

I had external fixatures on both wrists at the same time.  Made eating
and such like easier than casts.  That was the first surgery; over the
next couple of years, I had each one re-done with a plate and screws.
I've also got them in my left elbow (I'm left handed).  I know what you
mean about the range of motion issue; if I have to stir something for
more than a few minutes, I'll switch hands several times.  But, it's
better than having them fused, as one doctor suggested (before the
follow up surgeries) I have done.

Take that banjo to AZ and make music for the cactus out there. (G)
