Getting there quick is the important thing - and it depends
on the location of the hospital and the response time of the
ambulance. In the proximity of my friends, many of whom
drive like, well, ambulance drivers, I'd just as soon trust
them - in the time the ambulance with its emergency equipment
got there, I could be at the local hospital, with my friends
arguing my case forcefully at the admissions desk.

Didn't blame you for it - just thought it should be
fixed is all. The more things that get left unfixed,
the less useful the forum (whether here or on the
Internet) is. Even little tiny things. The knowledge
base was built up by people obsessed with little tiny
things - if it were not, then little tiny errors could
cause bigger things to go wrong later on - an intellectual
version of the butterfly wing thing.

I'm hoping that many people keep pets so they can bestow
love, not just take it for themselves.

I've been getting through on broadband more these days, so
everything is faster than dialup, so I can't tell. Getting
the mail remains satisfactory, thanks for asking.

How about mint and a cup of flour in spaghetti sauce:

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.00

      Title: Italian Sausage Spaghetti Sauce
 Categories: Cajun, Italian, Main dish, Sauces
      Yield: 8 servings

      2 lb Italian sausage                     1 c  Celery, finely chopped
      1 c  Dried parsley                     1/4 ts Dried mint
      1 tb Garlic, finely chopped            1/2 c  Bell pepper, finely chopped
    1/2 c  Olive oil                           3 c  Tomato sauce
      1 ts Red cayenne pepper                  2 c  Water
      1 c  Plain flour                              Salt, to taste
      3 tb Lea & Perrins                       2 c  Dry white wine
      2 c  Onions, finely chopped

  Cut Italian sausage into 2-inch lengths.  Brown sausage off in olive oil
  (about half cook it), remove from pan and put aside, Add flour to oil that
  was used and make roux.  Add onions, celery, and bell pepper. Stir and cook
  until tender or clear. Add water and stir until smooth. Add wine (you may
  wish to experiment with the amount of wine used, 2 cups is too much for
  some tastes), parsley, and garlic.  Pour in red pepper, Lea & Perrins
  Worcestershire sauce, dried mint, and tomato sauce. Stir real well. Bring
  to a bubbly boil and add salt, to taste. Add sausage. Bring back to a boil.
  Turn heat down to simmer. Cook for about 3 or 4 hours. Serve over spaghetti
