 I did parsley once, that stuff took over the yard.   Watch out
 it grows faster than grass.

 Some spices grow in window boxes and hang nicely.  I don't know 
 what they are of course, but might find out now.  I have an overhang 
 on the front of my garage and was contemplating putting them there.
 So my concern was that I would have to have someone spread the hanging
 plants aside like a curtain, to get the car into the garage.  :-)
  
 RH> Herbs are easy to grow and harvest. I wouldn't dry them in an enclosed
 RH> are where you drive the car tho, fumes might not be the best flavor
 RH> addition.  I use a dehydrator but my MIL showed me how to do parsley
 RH> in a microwave (on a paper towel).  Only caution with that is you need
 RH> to watch that the towel doesn't catch fire.  But, the flavor and aroma
 RH> keeps longer than some of the other drying methods.
 
 The dried ones in the market are inexpensive enough, I don't think
 the final product would be worth the work involved.  It would be 
 nice to have fresh all season though.
