Part of the trouble is, is that my dad is a very plain eater and my mom
cooks that way.  After so many years of doing so, I don't think she
knows how to do differently.  She was aghast at my putting mustard into
the cheese sauce for macaroni & cheese--but she liked the taste.  I
guess Dad did too; he didn't know it was there and had a 2nd helping.

I'm usually not there to cook for them but, as you read above, I do
tweak when I can.

Oh how true with my parents!

My mom and dad are meat 7 potatoes, with another vegetable for most all
"big" (supper, Sunday dinner type) meals; your mom's eating habits would
be too radical for them to try.

Next July 29th.  We'll probably arrainge an earlyer in the month
celebration to accomodate some of our scheduling.  They have been more
open about things in the last couple of visits.

I'm not sure who has the job for us; I think my younger brother as he
isthe only one still living in the same town.  All the locals that he'd
have to deal with know him.

For sure! Mom has her mom's set of Revereware. I know one sister has her
own set; I'm not sure if the other sister's set is the real stuff or
not.  One brother isn't much of a cook; the other is more so (both
single).  I like my cook ware set but I could enhance it with some
Revereware if nobody else wanted it. (G)
