Lots of potential factors, Amanda and I
have speculated on several...but it's just
been speculation, she does not have the 
time to investigate that while she's busy
on the Doctoral Trail (grin) gotta keep that
nose to the grindstone! Right now one of
the things she is studying (and testing) is
whether the "slime" from the philine will
inhibit the predation of the itsy bitsy clams
by the euro green crab...

Fried, in chowda, or stew, or cioppino...and you can add
mussels too!

I'm living that same dream (grin)
although we did beat the Oakland
gang last night in a well played game
pitched by Ian Snell (the guy who 
had a meltdown for the Yanks game)
that ended in a 3-1 victory for us.
Sadly we are still over 6 games out
in the WildCard race and I'm not sure
that we can make up that much ground.
We have two more with Oakland then
4 with Kansas City before the dreaded
Angels appear for a three game stand.
If we don't do it by then it won't matter
a whit.

I had steak, burgers, ribs, and chicken...then
Steak, and steak, and burgers and ribs....and
a beer...a Millers I think it was. it was just ok.
Then I went back and had some more ribs!
donated the bacon salt to the "white elephant
raffle" (some really good stuff goes in the raffle)
and left before the raffle started.
Summer is officially over, and the picnic was a 
great success (and I didn't cook!) and soon
baseball will go to rest for the winter...sigh
it just all goes so fast these days!
