I'll bet that's bed?  ;)  The cane can be useful for stability
if walking in open areas where there aren't things to grab for,
too.  But if your house is anything like ours, there's always
something nearby to grab for.  :)

Don't blame you.  Woozy isn't fun.  I'd have to be in a lot of
pain to be willing to risk the woozy... ;)

I've seen that happen a lot.  When the caretaking spouse has had
to put his/her own interests totally on the shelf to care for the
ailing spouse, there is something to help get through the grieving
process, a life to pick up again afterwards.  My mom is the same
way, doing much better than expected given how very wrapped up in
each other they had been... from the very start, she was picking
up things she'd had to let go, and seeing reason to go on living.

Hmmm...  got to the end of the message, and still haven't seen
anything about eggplant...  (G)  I saw some very nice looking
Chinese eggplants at Lee's Oriental Foods yesterday, though...
didn't buy any since I couldn't think of what I'd use them for
quickly enough, given the schedules for the next week or so.  I'm
trying to not buy things that will just spoil in the fridge while
I don't get to them fast enough... ;)
