Typical military cluster(ahem) in other words.  I know the feeling.  I'd
get the hubs on the horn and let him politely but forcefully tell them
exactly what they're supposed to do in a case like this.

Make sure the kid knows it too - that's what kids are for. People have even
trained brighter dogs than Cash to dial it if need be.  I've had MS
exacerbations and not been able to get in to see a doctor until a month
after it would have done me some good.  Typical.

If they have to cough up for enough emergency room bills that could have
been avoided with early treatment that they wouldn't authorize, you would
think they'd learn.  But no, we're talking about the government here.
