Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends.  Happy Thursday to 
all of you beastly foreigners. :)

So it's roughly 0730 and the turkey is in the smoker and I'll 
shortly be making stuffing on the stovetop.  Unfortunately,
I'll probably only be eating soup today.

A few years ago I broke two molars and had them repaired.  At my 
last cleaning a month or so ago the dentist warned me I'd probably
need a root canal on them because they were looking a little 
problematic.  For the past two days I've had an abcess along the
inside gum, about the size of a damn marble, right along those two
teeth.  It's killing me, expecially when I try to eat anything
tougher than soup.  I've been killing the pain with Excedrin and
whiskey, and yes that means even this early in the morning.  The
Dentist can't see me until Monday morning, though I might give him
a call to see if he's open tomorrow and beg for him to at least call
in some antibiotics in hopes of bringing the swelling down.  I've been
tempted to stab it with a needle myself, but no, I'm not going to.

Thanks for letting me vent.  Think of me when you dig in to your
delcious roasted birds today, and I will think of you all and toast
your health as I medicate myself into sweet painless oblivion.
