Well, yeah. Sort of a no-brainer.

Has to do with employee expense, cost of the physical plant, utilities, etc.
Plus, I am convinced (might be wrong ... but, I am still convinced) that BK
uses better beef than McD's.

What was the McDuck's promo, BTW? I don't recall ... but, then I seldom (except
for the #11 Breakfast Burrito Meal) visit McDonald's - and at breakfast time
all (most) of the signage is for desayunos.

Bring your pills - there are two slices of yellow cheezoid on each - they are
serious about it being double meat, double cheese. 
 
I'm not a huge fan of the Whopper - and I tried to order an Angry Whopper here
which got me a lot of blank looks and a visit from the manager on duty who told
me that their franchise was not participating in that promotion.
 
MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Tacos para Desayuno *
 Categories: Latino, Pork, Chilies, Beef, Cheese
      Yield: 6 servings

     12    Flour tortillas
      4 sl Bacon; chopped
  2 1/2 tb Oil
    2/3 c  Green chilies; minced
    2/3 c  Onions; minced
    2/3 c  Potatoes; minced
      3 cl Garlic; minced
    1/4 ts Salt; heaping
    1/2 ts Ground cumin; heaping
    1/2 ts Mexican oregano (cilantro)
      8 oz Chorizo
  1 1/4 lb Very lean ground beef
      4 lg Eggs; slightly beaten
           Refried beans (opt)
      1 c  Monterey jack cheese; grated

  * Breakfast Tacos

  Fry the bacon until it is soft. Drain grease and remove
  bacon to a small dish.

  Heat oil in a skillet over moderate heat and add green
  chilies, onions, potatoes and garlic. Saute the vegetables
  until they are well browned, adjusting the heat as
  necessary, about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring often. You may
  have to add a little more oil to keep the vegetables from
  sticking. Add tomatoes and continue cooking for 3 mins,
  stirring often. Add salt, cumin and oregano and cook for
  1 minute. Add chorizo, breaking it up and stirring it in
  to the vegetables. When the chorizo has browned and
  released most of its fat, add the ground beef, breaking
  it up and mixing it with the other ingredients. When the
  ground beef has browned, add the bacon, cover the skillet,
  turn the heat to very low & simmer, stirring occasionally,
  for 10 minutes.

  Add the eggs and continue cooking, stirring constantly,
  until eggs are well incorporated and set.

  Spoon filling on each tortilla, add some refried beans, if
  used, top with cheese, and serve with your favorite hot
  sauce.
