If the string is OK, I would too.  Cotton and silk get fragile with age and
wear, so I'd be a little careful.  I don't wear pearls much, but I do sell
a lot of vintage jewelry.  Some of those old 20s cords snap at a dirty
look.

I look better in silver than gold; I just happen to prefer the copper. 
They made funkier designs in it since the metal was cheaper.

I could probably get that far, but that's about it.  A cousin of my mom's
sent out Spanish Christmas cards this year for no known reason.  I didn't
have to resort to the translation on the back of the card.

It's addictive - worse than chocolate.  I've written literally 1000

It would depend on what it was, and where.  I wouldn't want to open a
restaurant right now, at least around here.

It went down to about 20 here, maybe lower.  The high today is in the 40s
although it's not going to last.  I'm not sure I've ever had a pipe freeze;
New Englanders tend to keep our piping where that won't happen unless the
power goes out for a few days.
