What is hot, Hap and I discovered, is the Sriracha peas that
the same company makes.

Can you inquire of the manager? You might be able to have it
reinstated or at least get them to special order it for you.
The alternatives include shredding your own from bulk cheese,
easy using the shredder (chill it first as well as the cheese)
of your food processor, or resorting to the supermarket and its
Sargento and other overpriced underflavored brands.

 They also have stopped carrying WisPride
 DS> cheddar cheese spread tubs -- one of our favored late night snacks and
 DS> a Christmas Eve tradition.  We could still get them at the grocery
 DS> store, twice the price for half as much.

Well. I guess one has to be from Wisconsin to mourn for that
stuff. Did you like the regular one or one of those that came
with funny colors swirled in? You may want to experiment with
making your own. I don't have a recipe, but something along
these lines might work (cut down of course on the sour cream
for a firmer texture) -

      Title: Sherried Cheddar Cheese Dip
 Categories: Appetizers, Dips, Vegetables, Cheese/eggs
      Yield: 4 servings

  1 1/2 c  Cheddar; Sharp, Shredded          1/4 ts Garlic Powder
    1/2 ts Hot Sauce                           1 tb Sherry
    1/2 c  Sour Cream                          1 tb Jalapeno Pepper; Chopped

  Blend the cheddar cheese and the sherry well.  Blend in the sour cream and
  then add all the rest of the ingredients.  Serve at room temperature. Makes
  about 2 cups of dip. SUGGESTED DIPPERS: Celery, Carrots, Radishes,
  Tomatoes, Polish Sausage, Cantaloupe, Crenshaw or Casaba Melon
